The staff of new Central Oklahoma head football coach Tracy Holland has local ties.

Defensive coordinator Steve Patterson and defensive line coach Calvin Miller were retained from the former staff.

Patterson, a Miami native who will be entering his third season at UCO, served as an assistant coach for six years at Northeastern A&M, including the last five as defensive coordinator. He also was interim head coach during the 2004 season.

The Norsemen went 42-14 in that six-year span, winning four Southwest Junior College Football Conference championships.

Former Miami High School assistant Micah Nall was named Hollandís offensive line coach. He had been a graduate assistant at UCO the past two seasons.

Nall started his coaching career as offensive line coach at Ponca City Highs School, then served as offensive coordinator at Miami High School for two years under Chris Risenhoover.

Jay Wilkinson of Metro Christian Academy in Tulsa will be the Bronchos' offensive coordinator and Broken Arrow High School assistant coach Brandon Hall will take over as linebacker coach.

Holland was named UCO head coach on Dec. 27.
