For the second time in nine days, Wagoner notched a victory over Miami's girls.
The Lady Bulldogs eked out a 53-43 victory against MHS Thursday night in a Girls' Gold game in the 63rd annual Northeastern A&M High School Basketball Tournament.
Wagoner had chalked up a 57-51 victory over the Lady Wardogs when they played Jan. 15, also at the Dogdome.
The Lady Wardogs, suffering an 11th straight loss, battles Tulsa Hale today at 5 p.m. at NEO's Student Activity Center.
Hale lost to Willard, Mo., 57-45 Thursday.
The Lady Wardogs used back-to-back buckets from Alyssa Johnson to take a 12-8 lead in the first quarter against Wagoner.
However, the Lady Bulldogs turned the tide with a 16-3 run in the first six minutes of the second frame. That created a 26-19 score at the break.
Wagoner inched away with a 15-10 edge in the third quarter then held on as Miami held a 14-12 advantage over the final eight minutes.
Miami had three players score in double figures, topped by Emily Cline with 13.
Mickey Prairie Chief hit 12 points and Johnson chipped in with 11.
Janať McJunkins paced Wagoner with 21 points.
