WYANDOTTE - Wyandotte went on a scoring spurt to start the final quarter against Colcord Thursday night leading to a 47-33 Lucky 7 Conference win.
The Lady Bears led 29-22 heading into the final frame and blitzed their way to a 40-22 advantage after beginning the quarter with a 11-0 run.
Kristen Enyart started the burst with a bucket and a 3-point goal and Abbi Munson finished the spurt with back-to-back layups for the 18-point lead.
After a basket and a free throw by Colcord's Tenelle Williams Wyandotte stretched its lead to 45-25 with 2:43 to play after buckets by Munson and Amanda Stovall, and a free throw by Kayla Oleman.
Wyandotte led 9-6 after the first period and led 16-8 in the second quarter after a Oleman basket near the four minute mark allowing the Lady Bears to lead at the break 18-12.
In the third, Wyandotte gained a 26-16 lead after a Enyart trey before Williams canned three straight baskets for the Lady Hornets to cut the WHS lead to 26-22.
Stovall drained a 3-pointer for the final tallies of the frame to offset Williams' effort for the seven point lead for the Lady Bears heading into the final period
Colcord's Williams led all scorers on the night with a game-high 17, which included 15 in the second half.
Enyart paced the Lady Bears with 11, while Munson added 10 in the win for Wyandotte.
Wyandotte hosts Grove Saturday night for its homecoming game. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m.
