MUSKOGEE — Miami’s girls finished 10th at the Azalea Tournament Monday at Muskogee Country Club.

“There were a lot of big schools there,” said Miami coach Chris Risenhoover. “I’m pretty proud that we bested some large schools like Sand Springs and Owasso.”

The Lady Wardogs finished with a 422 total. Owasso was 11th at 426, followed by Fort Gibson, Sand Springs, Okmulgee and Wagoner.

Jenks coasted to the team title with a 323. Union was second at 338.

Jordan Barlow had Miami’s low round, a 97.

Sarah Housman posted a 105, followed by Hailey Smith at 107 and Kylee Carder logged a 113.

Teresa Brumley of Chouteau was medalist with a 73. Her father is Commerce native Phil Brumley.

The Lady Wardogs’ next action will be April 7 in a tournament at Nowata.
