QUAPAW - The Wyandotte Bears scored the first 14 points of the game and never looked back defeating the Quapaw Wildcats 55-32 Tuesday night.
The Bears raced out to a 14-0 lead before Quapaw's Justin Wray broke the scoring skein with a pair of free throws at the 3:53 mark of the first.
The Wildcats suffered 14 turnovers during the drought thanks to a pressing defense by the Bears.
Six Wyandotte players scratched the scorebook in the opening period leading to the 21-point lead.
Quapaw cut into the lead with a 14-9 advantage for the second period thanks to a pair of treys by Drew Frisbie.
The Bears increased their lead in the third with a 15-4 run which helped produce a 47-24 advantage heading into the final frame.
WHS' Tyler Burleson and Kurtis Young led all scorers with 10 points each, while Magnum Mustain, Jared White, Dakota Sparks and Shane Friend chipped in with seven each.
Quapaw was led by Frisbie's seven and six points from Joey Bowling.
