With the extended holiday season out of the way, all the Oklahoma Junior College basketball teams return to action starting tonight.
Both Northeastern A&M teams travel to Tishomingo for Bi-State Athletic Conference games with Murray State College. Coach Jim Rowland's 30th-ranked Lady Norse carry an 11-3 season record against the 6-5 Lady Aggies at 6 p.m. Coach Dustin Grover's 8-7 Golden Norsemen face the 9-6 Aggies at 8 p.m.
Only one state men's team appears in the National Junior College Athletic Association weekly top 20 poll. Redlands Community College of El Reno is ranked second in the nation. The Cougars are a perfect 13-0 and host Eastern State College tonight at 8 p.m. in El Reno.
The only other Oklahoma women's team to appear in the NJCAA poll is Seminole State College. The Belles are ranked 23rd in the nation with a 10-2 record. Seminole hosts Connors State College tonight at 6 p.m.
Seminole comes to Miami on Thursday for two games. The Belles face the Lady Norse at 6 p.m. followed by the Golden Norse-Trojans game at 8 p.m. The Belles defeated the Lady Norse 73-63 on Nov. 20 in Seminole while the Trojans posted an 89-77 win over the Golden Norsemen.
Play within the East and the West divisions of the Bi-State Athletic Conference is scheduled to begin Jan. 29
