Kathryn Vilardo swept to first place to spearhead an explosive showing Monday by the Bartlesville junior high tennis team.


Vilardo topped a list of 12 Bartlesville players that finished in the top three of their respective divisions at the team’s home tournament.


Bartlesville came in second in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.


Vilardo powered to the championship in the girls’ No. 2 singles competition.


Bartlesville’s Julia Osburn finished second at No. 1 singles.


Both Bartlesville girls’ doubles teams finished third — Irene Johnson and Hillary Gammon at No. 1 doubles, and Mary Ann Alvey and Brook Franks at No. 3 doubles.


On the boys’ side, Jack Auschwitz hammered to second place for Bartlesville at No. 2 singles.


The team’s No. 2 doubles pair of Griffin Craig and Trenton Taylor also claimed the runner-up spot.


Bartlesville’s No. 1 singles battler Matthew Gogol nailed down third place.


Zach Miller and Bode Doenges locked down third for Bartlesville at No. 1 doubles.
