BETHANY — Four players reached double figures and 11 scored points as Northeastern A&M rolled to an 87-61 victory over the Southwestern Christian University JV here Friday, Jan. 11.
NEO led 38-24 at intermission but Kyle Lukasiewicz exploded for 11 straight points out of his total 13 to help the Norse break the game open.
“Kyle had a tough first half, getting three fouls early, so he sat out a lot then came out in the second half and played outstanding,” Norse head coach Jeremy Jackson said.
Dylan Van Eyck had a double double for NEO, scoring 10 points while grabbing 13 rebounds.
Jeremiah Morris had a team-high 16 points with five rebounds and six assists.
“He was making play after play,” Jackson said.
Jeremiah Morris and Valentin Van Puttin scored 11 points each.
Others with points for NEO were Ravel Moody, eight; Kyrele Benford, seven; Samkel0 Cele, six; Spencer Roberts and Mello Williams, four; Champ Bridges and Kamron Dunn; three each, and Kelsan Crosby, two.
The Golden Norse shot 48.5 percent from the field, converting on 33 of 68 chances.
SCU shot 35 percent from the field.
Northeastern A&M hosts Connors State College on Monday, Jan. 14.
