MIAMI — It’s a quick turnaround for Miami.
The Wardogs beat Tulsa McLain 27-14 on the road Friday, Oct. 12, then because of fall break, host Oologah on Thursday, Oct. 20.
“It will be a regular week, but we will have our walkthrough Thursday morning so the kids don’t sleep all way,” Miami coach Zach Gardner said. “We will get our Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in, maybe be a lighter load on Wednesday, but we’ll try to use the same format as we’ve been.”
The Wardogs have lost eight of the last nine meetings with Oologah and has been outscored 111-13 in the last two, including 62-6 in 2017.
“We like the way things have played out, but now its time to show up for a home game because we haven’t gotten a win at home,” Gardner said.
All three of the wins have come on the road, at Claremore Sequoyah, at Tahlequah Sequoyah and now at Melvin Driver Stadium.
They’re 0-3 at Red Robertson field, losing to Jay, Grove and Catoosa.
