QUAPAW — Quarterback Riley Walker and running back Andrew Crow accounted for 410 yards and seven touchdowns as Rejoice Christian romped to a 61-13 win over Quapaw here Friday, Oct. 12.
“They are good. I’m not going to take anything away from them,” Quapaw head coach Chris Cawyer said of the fourth-ranked Eagles. “They have a good ball team.”
Crow had scoring runs of 23, 4, 1 and 2 yards while gaining 166 yards on 14 carries, an average of 11.9 yards per carry.
“He’s a good running back,” Cawyer said. “He’s probably one of the better running backs in our district along with Ibarra (Commerce’s Chris Ibarra). They are probably the top two.”
Walker completed 19 of his 29 pass attempts for 244 yards.
He had TD strikes of 38 yards to Gage Barham, 7 to Reece Hamar and 24 yards to Barham.
The Eagles (7-0 overall and 3-0 in District A-6) were up 21-0 after one quarter then broke the game open with a 33-point second period.
Crow’s first two scores came within a span of two minutes in the first.
Rejoice also got a 4-yard run from Dillon Hair and an interception return by Hamar.
Quapaw’s scoring came on a 9-yard run by Kale Thomasson and a 9-yard carry by Koen Myrick.
The Wildcats managed only 121 yards in total offense, including 68 yards on 27 rushing attempts.
Taylor Roher was Quapaw’s leading rusher with 26 yards on five carries. Thomasson added 15 and Myrick contributed 10.
Thomasson completed 3 of 15 passes for 44 yards and Myrick was 1 for 2. They threw two interceptions.
Quapaw travels to Ketchum Thursday, Oct. 18.
