WYANDOTTE — A new champ will be crowned at the Wyandotte Fall Classic, which begins Thursday, Sept. 6.

Oktaha, which topped Fairland 14-2 in the title game last year, isn’t returning.

Nine teams are entered this time around: host Wyandotte, Kansas, Ketchum and Commerce will make up the Black Pool with Adair, Miami, Welch, Quapaw and Oaks in the White Pool.

Kansas topped Adair 5-4 in last year’s third-place game.

Miami meets Adair in the 12:40 p.m. opener Thursday, followed by Quapaw vs. Adair, 2 p.m.; Miami vs. Welch, 3:20 p.m.; Quapaw vs. Oaks, 4:40 p.m.; Welch vs. Oaks, 6 p.m.; Kansas vs. Commerce, 7:20 p.m., and Kansas vs. Ketchum, 8:40 p.m.

Then on Friday, it’s Quapaw vs. Miami, 10 a.m.; Wyandotte vs. Ketchum, 11:20 p.m.; Adair vs. Oaks, 12:40 p.m., and Wyandotte vs. Commerce, 2 p.m.

A final four pool games will be Saturday — Miami vs. Oaks, 9 a.m.; Commerce vs. Ketchum, 10:20 a.m.; Wyandotte vs. Kansas, 1 p.m., and Welch vs. Adair, 2:20 p.m.

The third-place game will be at 3:40 p.m. followed by the championship game at 5 p.m.
