KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Northeastern Oklahoma A&M ground out a 3-2 win over Kansas City Community College in the volleyball opener for the Lady Norse.
NEO won the fifth and deciding set 15-10.
Kansas City CC won the first two sets by identical 25-23 scores.
The Lady Norse bounced back and won 25-22 then forced the fifth set with a 26-24 decision.
“It was a really good win against a very good opponent on the road,” Lady Norse coach Eric Iverson said. “Both sides played hard, competed well. We are very similar teams at this point in the season, trying to find the complete effort in all areas and get some unity from familiarity.”
The Lady Norse return to the Kansas City area Friday, Aug. 24, for a tri hosted by Johnson County Community College.
