BARNSDALL — Afton saw its baseball season come to a heartbreaking end Wednesday, April 18, with a pair of one-run losses in Class A District 24 play.
The Eagles dropped a 3-2 decision to Foyil, and then were eliminated by Barnsdall, 6-5.
Afton finishes its season with a 10-8 record.
Barnsdall also rolled to a 10-0 win over Foyil.
The Panthers and Foyil battled in the district title game Thursday, April 19.

Afton tied the game in the top of the sixth when Jesse Walkingstick reached on a two-base error and scored on a grounder by Jacob Barton.
Walkingstick went to third on a wild pitch, but was left stranded.
A single by Kodey Shoemaker drove in what turned out to be the winning run in the home half of the sixth.
Afton went down in order in the top of the seventh.
Teegan Maupin collected two singles for the Eagles.
Tate Maupin doubled and Brett Fuser and Barton each had a single.
Shoemaker finished with a pair of singles.
Mason Webb doubled and Zach Meeks and Matt Dennis each had a single.
Shoemaker, Webb and Dennis combined on a four-hitter for the Panthers.
Shoemaker struck out six and Dennis had three strikeouts.
Fuser pitched only 2/3 of an inning before Brett Hollon came on.
