MIAMI — Riding a four-game winning streak, weather permitting, the No. 8 ranked Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College Lady Norse host the Iowa Western Lady Reivers Sunday, Feb. 25 in a 2 p.m. softball double-header at Iverson Field.
Rainy weather forced postponed of a Tuesday double-header between the Lady Norse and Cowley County Community College (5-6) of Arkansas City, Kansas.
The twinbill has been rescheduled for April 22 at Arkansas City.
With a 3-0 and 8-0 double-header sweep over Iowa Western (6-5) Sunday, Feb. 18, the Lady Norse are 4-0.
NEO head coach Eric Iverson is within two victories of reaching the coveted 1,000-win milestone with the Lady Norse.
During his 23-year tenure, Iverson has compiled a 998-214 overall record.
Sophomore pitcher Olivia Prather tossed a no-hitter and freshman Taylor Makowsky allowed one hit as the Lady Norse swept past the Lady Reivers.
Prather (2-0) struck out nine and walked one while facing 22 batters in seven innings during the first game.
The lone base runner was Celia Valencia in the top of the first inning.
The Lady Norse scored all three runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Back-to-back doubles by Karissa Marshall and Makayla Bowman started the NEO uprising.
Prather singled to left scoring Marshall before Gracie Garman doubled scoring, both Bowman and designated runner Carsyn Eversole.
Garman led the six-hit Lady Norse offense with two doubles while Marshall and Bowman added doubles. Prather and Bailey Fowler contributed singles.

Makowsky (2-0) faced 23 batters in the six-inning nightcap.
She struck out five and walked one.
Opposing pitcher Zoe Hicks accounted for the lone Iowa Western hit with a single in the top of the fourth inning.
After grabbing a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning, the Lady Norse exploded for six runs in the bottom of the fifth before ending the game with a solo run in the bottom of the sixth.
Makowsky had a double and two singles along with two RBIs to lead NEO’s eight-hit offense. First baseman Marissa Lokey collected two
RBIs with a home run and a single.
Bowman delivered a two-run double. Hunter Gilstrap and Fowler contributed singles.
The Lady Norse travel to Parsons, Kansas, Tuesday, Feb. 27 for a 2 p.m. double-header with Labette Community College.
