WYANDOTTE — Wyandotte used another big first quarter to breeze to a 75-24 romp over Foyil here Friday, Feb. 2.

The 2A No. 18 Bears (16-2) stretched a 32-9 first-quarter lead into a 55-17 advantage at the break.

Wyandotte also held 10-8 and 10-4 margins in the third and fourth periods.

The Bears had three players score in double figures, topped by Jacob Burney with 21.

Justin Campbell finished with 16 and Jordon Burney chipped in with 12.

Cody Teal scored six, followed by Brendan Cooper, five; Trey Jones, four; Ethan Bradley and Noah Sloan, two each and Ryan Cooper, one.

K. Grumbien tallied six points for the Panthers (5-17).

Girls: Wyandotte 54, Foyil 37

Tarrah Stephens had 28 points for the Lady Bears.

Wyandotte (14-4) scored 13 points in the first quarter, 18 in the second, nine in the third and four in the final stanza.

Others scoring for the Lady Bears were Aranda Nair, nine; Kylee Severs, eight; Jillian Swonger, seven, and Haley Hart, two.


Wyandotte is idle until Feb. 12 when it hosts Fairland in its final regular season game.
