MIAMI — The Miami girls suffered three straight losses during the 73rd annual Northeastern Oklahoma A&M High School Basketball Tournament.

The Lady Wardogs fell 69-20 to Class 4A No. 18 Roland, 41-24 to Tulsa McLain and 59-28 to 5A No. 12 Tulsa Rogers 59-28.

Miami is now 0-14 on the season.

Rogers 59, Miami 28

The Lady Wardogs took a 13-12 lead with 1:34 left in the first quarter thanks to a bucket from inside by Abby Osborn.

But Rogers turned things around and went up 16-13 at the end of the frame.

The Lady Wardogs managed only four points in the second quarter and trailed by 12 at intermission.

It was 32-26 after three then Rogers went on a 22-2 burst over the final eight minutes.

Ten points by Shelby Hubbard headed up the scoring for the Lady Wardogs, who also got five each from Bayleigh Beckwith and Mary Gilbert and two each from Maddie Arnold, Rebecca Bell, Osborn and Ramsee Allemann.

Devin Wright scored 12 for the Lady Ropers.

McLain 41, Miami 24

McLain pulled away from the Lady Wardogs with scoring bursts in the first and fourth quarters.

The Lady Titans outscored MHS 13-6 in the first quarter then coasted into the half with an 18-10 lead.

Each team scored nine in the third quarter then McLain held a 14-5 advantage in the fourth.

Miami picked up seven points from Mary Gilbert, followed by Osborn with five, Hubbard four, Bell and Malarie Thompson with three each and Bayleigh Beckwith added two.

Tiffany Robinson was the top scorer for McLain with 12 points.

Roland 69. Miami 25

The Lady Wardogs jumped out to a 9-3 lead in the first 5:34 of the game only to have Roland’s offense kick in.

The Lady Rangers outscored Miami 9-2 the rest of the way to tie the game at 11, and then erupted for 24 points in the second quarter to go up 35-18 at the half.

The Lady Wardogs managed only seven points in the second half, including one in the fourth quarter.

Hubbard was the leading scorer for Miami with 11 points.

Gilbert contributed six, Thompson and Osborn scored three each and Allemann finished with two.

The Lady Rangers had two players in double figures: Kaitlyn Martinez with 19 and Saylor Kemp added 14.

Roland buried 10 3-point goals in the game.

Martinez had five, Kayleigh Harrell three and Makaylah Chandler and Madison Conley each added one.
