SEMINOLE — Lincoln Christian quarterback Chase Rickie amassed 260 yards through the air Friday night to propel the visitors to a 35-8 triumph over Seminole.
Rickie completed 17 of 24 passes with two interceptions.
Seminole rushed for 225 yards on 44 carries but crossed the goal-line just once, that coming on a 17-yard run by Cameron Gunville in the opening quarter. When Hunter Wurtz converted a 2-point run, it gave Seminole an 8-7 lead — its only advantage of the night.
Lincoln Christian held a 14-8 halftime lead on a 5-yard Dillon Hair run.,
Lincoln Christian outscored Seminole 21-0 after intermission, including Rickie 25-yard touchdown throws to Adler Isbell and Sam Brueggemann.
Seminole was held to 74 yards passing. The Chieftains had a fourth-quarter pass intercepted in the end zone.
Gunville was Seminole’s leading rusher with 115 yards on 22 carries. Jamon Dennis piled up 104 yards on 22 carries.
Lincoln Christian punted just once in the game.
Lincoln Christian went undefeated in District 3A-7 last season and reached the 3A state quarterfinals.
Seminole, 3-1, will serve as a host to Dickson at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
