DALE — It took Dale just a combined 8 ½ innings to record lopsided victories over Cheyenne (10-0) and Woodward (14-3) Friday.

Dale required only 3 ½ innings to dispose of Cheyenne.

Winning pitcher Rylie Premo didn’t allow a hit, fanned five and didn’t issue a walk. Cheyenne’s only run came on Dale’s only error.

The Lady Pirates chalked up 11 hits in just three innings. Lacey Savage notched a double and single. Lady Pirates’ Mikayla Rutland, Jobee Savage and Emmie Idleman fashioned two singles apiece.

Against Woodward, Dale piled up 20 hits. The Lady Pirates had a five-run second inning and a six-run fifth.

Rutland led the offensive charge at 4 of 4, all singles. Delanie Manning went 3 of 4 with a double, two singles and four runs batted in. Sydney Griggs blasted a 2-run home run in the fourth.

Manning earned the pitching win with a five-inning six-hitter. She whiffed two and walked one.

Top-ranked Dale, 29-1, will entertain McLoud at 4:30 Monday. Dale defeated McLoud in the third-place game of the McLoud Tournament.,

Dale will also be home Tuesday, contesting Cordell at 4 p.m. in a district matchup.
