Margaret Vanoy Prather, 86, died on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2007 in Oklahoma City at the Southwest Integris Medical Center.

Mrs. Prather was born July 23, 1921, in Grove. She graduated from Grove High School in 1937. She lived in Miami for 13 years. She later lived in four different states.

During World War II, she worked at a munitions plant in Parson, Kan., for two years. Off and on, she worked at a clothing factory for the Levi Company, totaling almost 15 years.

She married James Prather Jr. in 1939. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and Charles Parker; one brother, Fred Parker, and one sister, Ruby Hudson.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Joyce Ann and Charles Blouin; four grandchildren, Gary Yeager of Altus and Steve Yeager, Dan Yeager and Karen Milder, all of Oklahoma City, 14 great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Dec. 28 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Boyd Whitehead officiated. Burial was in Altus City Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.
