Kenneth Dale Heiney of Vinita died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at his home after an illness. He was 62.

Heiney was born July 16, 1944, in Welch to Kenneth Morgan and Pearl Ann (White) Heiney.

He was a Vietnam War veteran of the Army.

He spent most of his life as a rancher.

He married Florien Davis on May 12, 1984, in Dublin, Texas. She survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Kim and Bryan Doles of Claremore, Patty and Mike Nicholas of Wichita, Kan., Wanda and Rob Booth of Greensburg, Kan., and Sherry and Chris Perryman of Glenpool; two sons and their wives, Larry Ray and Dene Little of Tucson, Ariz., and Bobby Ray and Norma Wholfe of Granburg, Texas; three sisters, Margie Marie Crabtree of Kansas City, Mo., Hazel Bernice Heiney of Bluejacket and Winnie Ann Durbin of Lamar, Mo.; three brothers, Thomas Edward Heiney and Bud Lee Heiney, both of Anderson, Mo., and the Rev. Ralph Mark Heiney of Alex, 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, George White Heiney, Clifford Keith Heiney and Russell Gene Heiney, and two granddaughters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home in Welch with the Rev. Ralph Heiney officiating. Burial will be in Bluejacket Cemetery.

Military rites will be conducted by the Grove Veterans' Ritual Team.

Pallbearers will be Larry Ray Little, Robert Eric Booth, Michael Nicholas, Bryan Dole, Jeff Heiney and Tommy Heiney. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Thach and Ernie Farbro.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
