Debbie L. Bond of Miami died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa after a sudden illness. She was 51.
Mrs. Bond was born Dec. 15, 1956, in Martinsville, Ind., to Bill and Rose Mary (Day) Carpenter. She moved to Miami in 1993, coming from Tuscaloosa, Ala.
She worked in maintenance with the Miami Housing Authority.
She married Corbie Bond on Aug. 14, 1989, in Tuscaloosa. He survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include one son, Nehemiah Joel Hicks of Martinsville, Ind.; two stepsons, Scott Bond of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jason Bond of Pascagoula, Miss.; three stepdaughters, Jacqueline Jeudice of Broken Arrow, Regina Sheridan of Carrollton, Texas, and Corbie Jean Faddy of Moundville, Ala.; five sisters, Pam Breedlove, Becky Whedon, Janet Vermillion, Carol Mackinson and Julie Hayden, all of Martinsville, and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fairland Cemetery. The Rev. Carole Minter will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
