Mary “Pauline” Elizabeth Roberts of Grove died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Tulsa. She was 87.
Mrs. Roberts was born May 24, 1920, in Fairland to John and May Sproul. She graduated from Fairland High School in 1938. She lived in Grove for 45 years and lived in Tulsa for the last two and a half years.
She was a longtime memer of the First United Methodist Church of Fairland, where she served as secretary and treasurer. While living in Tulsa, she attended the West Tulsa United Methodist Church.
She was married to James Pete Cowherd. He preceded her in death. She was married to Hollan Roberts for 37 years. He also preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry McCann of Tulsa; three stepdaughters, Donna Hale, Janie Hollecker and Faye Saikil; one sister, Mabel Sproul of Fairland; two granddaughters and their husbands, Kathy and Charles Moore of Tulsa and Lori and Scott Bradley of Osage, and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church of Fairland. The Rev. Carole Minter and the Rev. William Welch Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Alderwoods Heath Funeral Home in Tulsa and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Fairland.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home of Miami.
