Marvin J. Schultz of Bluejacket died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Craig General Hospital in Vinita after an illness. He was 66.

Schultz was born Sept. 23, 1940, in Chetopa, Kan., to Luther and Vera (Ford) Rhoades. He was a graduate of Bluejacket High School with the class of 1959.

He worked as a mechanic for Craig County District No. 2 for many years before retiring. He was a member of Church of Christ of Bluejacket.

He married Sally Hamilton on July 8, 1972, in Claremore. She survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include three sons, Michael Schultz of Bluejacket and Brian and Marty Snow, both of Miami; two daughters, Sandy Schultz of White Oak and Cindy Hall of Bluejacket; two sisters, Farell Spurgeon and Frankie Newlan, both of Vinita, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas Funeral Home in Welch with the Rev. Carroll Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Bluejacket Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Wickliffe, Jerry Taylor, Trent Langley, Rusty Satterwhite, Jesse Mitchell and Danny Pape. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Hamilton, Michael Schultz Jr., Cody Schultz, Zack Bezek and Ron Capansky.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
