Gerald Putman Vonach of Miami died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Higher Call Nursing Home in Quapaw. He was 71.
Mr. Vonach was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Canton, Ill., to Clyde and Opal (Lescallette) Vonach.
He was a veteran of the Navy.
He worked as a shop foreman for International Harvester Tractor Company.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louis Vonach; his parents, and two brothers, Fred and Carroll.
Survivors include one son, Gerald W. Vonach of Springdale, Ark.; one daughter, Theresa Teague of Miami; one granddaughter, Holly Hilliard, and one great-grandson, Orrin Wayne.
No services are planned at this time.
At Mr. Vonach’s request, his body was donated to science.
Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.
