Pearl Friend of Edmond died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 at the Bradford Village Nursing Home in Edmond after an illness.
Mrs. Friend was born Nov. 30, 1911 in Newton County, Mo., the daughter of Carl and Ethel Culp. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seneca, Mo., Assembly of God Church.
She married Bill Friend Feb. 16, 1929 and he preceded her in death Jan. 29, 1990.
Survivors include one brother, Dean Culp, Leawood, Kan.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Alvena Barnett and Shirley Shell; two brothers, Johnny Culp and Gene Culp, and three sisters, Geneva Robbinson, Erecell Friend and Beulah Zane.
The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Seneca Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Calvin Ackerson officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with Melvin Friend, Robert Friend, Donnie Friend, Tommy Copeland, Jim Friend and Haskel Zane serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Griffin and Billy Griffin.
Services are under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
