Jean Charity Shere of Coffeyville, Kan., died Tuesday, May 29, 2007. She was 85.
Mrs. Shere was born Aug. 9, 1921, in Craig County to John and Hattie (Burtrum) McCoy.
She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.
She married Floyd Sherer on Oct. 9, 1937, in Welch. He preceded her in death in September 1995. She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Shere; her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Diana and Carl Deenihan and Aharon and Forrest Frey, all of Coffeyville, Daisy Wilson of Grand Junction, Colo., and Karen Ledesma of Rufio Las Cruces, N.M.; one son, David Shere of Coffeyville; one sister, Joy Long of Broken Arrow; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Family and friends will gather at the graveside prior to services.
