Mr. David Froman passed from this life on Monday evening Feb. 8, 2010, in Joplin, Mo., at the age of 71 years.

David was born Dec. 31, 1938, in Miami, Okla., to his parents Guy and Gertrude Helm Froman.

David was a professor of speech and theater at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College where he has taught for many years. Everyone who knew David knew his passion for the theater and people.

On Dec. 23, 1978, David took Miss Audrey Stein as his bride on Stanton Island, New York. They resided there from 1976 until 1984 while moving to Los Angeles, Calif., to pursue his career dream. David and Audrey have lived in the Miami area since 1994.

David’s hobbys included two things, his love of theater and his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors; walks with his grandson, Michael; gardening and horseback riding as well.

David’s motto for life was, “Give Back To the Earth,” he appreciated nature.

His wife of 31 years, Audrey Froman of the home; five daughters, Leslie and husband David Anderson of Gulf Shores, Ala., Carolyn Froman of Miami, Okla., Melissa and husband Steve Nodine of Broken Arrow, Okla., Laura and husband Derek Evans of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Darcie and husband Dave Shultz of Springfield, Mo.; one son, Davey Froman of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Bill and wife Linda Froman of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Eddie and wife Phyllis Froman of Miami, Okla.; one sister, Elizabeth Hargrove of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, longtime friends and neighbors.

David is preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Robert and Ronald Froman and his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at NEO Fine Arts Theater in Miami, Okla.
