Susan Lynn Zordel passed away at her home on Jan. 2, 2007, of an apparent heart attack.
She was 49, born Dec. 1, 1958, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She came to Miami to attend Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College on a gymnastics scholarship.
Susan and Chuck met at NEO and were married for 26 years. She loved her job as a math teacher at Baxter Springs High School and formerly at Quapaw High School.
Her family, Chuck, Mark and Kali reside in Miami. Her parents, Joan and Bob Vaughn and her brother, Mike, live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her sister, Kathee Vaughn lives in Miami. Her mother-in-law, Betty Zordel of Miami and her sisters-in-law's families, Karla and Les Frick of Sperry, Adonna and Don Helmig of Commerce, Jerilyn and Rick Craig of Grove, Delauna and Craig Fletcher of Edmond and numerous nephews and nieces will miss her and her loving spirit. Sue honored God through her love of nature and humanity.
A memorial of life will be Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Miami, Okla. Pastor Leon Weece, the Rev. Casey Davidson and Deacon Kay Boman will officiate.
Services are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.
