Pharabe Jane Tipton, a former Wyandotte resident, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2006, at Conroe, Texas. She was 81.

Tipton was born Feb. 1, 1926, at Red Rock, the daughter of John and Hattie Dunham. She married Robert G. Tipton Sr., in Bethany on July 6, 2946, He preceded her in death on July 15, 1987.

She and her husband lived at Macomb from 1946 to 1953. They then moved to Oklahoma City, where her husband worked for the Will Rogers Turnpike. They later moved to Wyandotte, where they lived for at least 44 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Robert G. and Virginia Tipton Jr., of Conroe, Texas, Richard and Teresa Tipton of Vinita and David and Karen Tipton of The Woodlands, Texas; one daughter, Deanne Neganquet of Conroe; two brothers, Bill Dunham and Jim Dunham, both of South Dakota; one sister, Beulah Dunham of South Dakota; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of the Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
