Curtis “Curt” Eppler of Miami died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in Tulsa. He was 53.
Mr. Eppler was born Oct. 10, 1954, in Phoenix, Ariz., to Max and Carol (Armstrong) Eppler. He moved to Miami in 2002 from Globe, Ariz.
He worked as a deputy sheriff, correctional officer in Arizona for six and a half years and was employed as a police officer with the Fairland Police Department. He was employed at Tracker Marine.
He married Carrie Williams on Jan. 8, 1991, in Laughlin, Nev. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include two sons, Jerome Wallace and wife Cindy and Joshua Wallace, all of Miami; two daughters, Tara Poeling of Globe and Melissa Wallace of Miami, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Pastor Dale Neal will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tom Mills, Ray Shoemaker, Jim Williams, Tommy Mills, Travis Mills and Larry Bunce.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
