Don G. Shaw of Columbus, Kan., died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami after an illness. He was 93.

Shaw was born June 10, 1913, at Three Brothers, Ark., to H.N. and Sarah (Sanders) Shaw. He lived in the Columbus area most of his life.

He was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce, the Lion's Club and was a 32-degree Mason.

He married Ann M. Long. She preceded him in death in 2004. He was also preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Coy, Robert, Glenn and Guy, and two sisters, Madge and Nona.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Linda Sue and Ted Garrison of Columbus; one sister and her husband, Hazel and Tommy Shore of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Mike Ketcher of Stillwell, Kan., and Ronnie Garrison and Cherie Garrison, both of Joplin, Mo., and two great-grandsons.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Commerce with the Rev. Bill Bissell officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Pallbearers will be Teddy Garrison, Mike Ketcher, Ronnie Garrison, Kent Cochran and David Cochran.

Visitation will be at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce until the time of the service.
