Kenneth Ray Washington of St. Peter, Minn., died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007, at his home. He was 69.
Mr. Washington was born June 13, 1938, in Miami to Cyrus Jr. and Delores (Ketcher) Washington.
He held various jobs during his lifetime, including produce manager at Econo Food in St. Peter and retired from Kato Lite at age 65. For five years he was a volunteer chaplain on the second floor at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, Minn., and was active in his church by serving as an usher.
Survivors include one son and his wife, Ray and Sharon Washington of North Mankato, Minn.; one daughter, Gina Lishbrook of Calif.; two sisters; Doris Kley of Tulsa and Jolene Hooper of Miami; one brother, James Washington of Austin, Texas, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Creation World Outreach Church in North Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday.
