Mary Waybright of Commerce died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, at the University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., after a sudden illness. She was 85.
Mrs. Waybright was born Aug. 4, 1923, in Miami to Harold and Viola (Mathes) McClintic. She lived much of her life in Commerce.
She worked for the government as an inventory clerk for several years before retiring. She was a homemaker. She was an active member of the ladies auxiliary and Liberty Baptist Church of Miami.
She married Virgil Waybright on Aug. 17, 1940, in Miami. He survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Judy Allen of Commerce and Marcie Campbell of Quapaw; one brother, William McClintic of Miami; one sister, Pat Betts of Hutchinson, Kan.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church in Miami. Pastor Brad Jinks will officiate.
