Cheryl Ann Smith of Miami died Friday, June 8, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center of Joplin, Mo., after an illness. She was 48.
Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 17, 1958, in Chula Vista, Calif., to Doyle Dean and Gloria (Davis) Cortner. She lived in the Miami area since 1980. She was a waitress at Li'l Cafe for more than five years.
Survivors include her husband, Randall Marshall of the home; two sons, Tracy Cortner and his wife Becky and Justin Smith, all of Miami; one daughter, Angie Smith of Miami; her parents, of North Miami; one brother, Jim Cortner and his wife Carolyn of Miami; two sisters, Karen Lewis and her husband John and Dee Cooper, all of Miami, and three grandchildren, Katie Jo Cortner, Addison Smith and Ethan Smith.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami with the Rev. Phil Shyers officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.
Pallbearers will be Harold Forbes, Kevin Marshall, Tracy Marshall, Gary Howard Jr., John Cooper, Mike Cooper and Jim Cortner.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
