Loretta Bell “Rita” Moss of Grove died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, at her home. She was 74.
Moss was born July 26, 1932, in Ada to John G. Gunter and Eula Bell (Birchfield) Gunter. She grew up in Ada and graduated from Ada High School. She lived in Oklahoma City, Texas, Arkansas and Alabama, moving to Grove in 1994.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Miami and attended Grove Assembly of God. She was a member of Green Country Squares square dance club. She was a homemaker.
She married Alfred Leon Moss on Sept. 5, 1992, in Heflin, Ala. He survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include one son and his wife, Monty and Raylene Hackler of Grove; one stepdaughter, Sherry Butler of Gravette, Ark.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Kevin and Rosanna Sheppard of Miami, Angela and Tim Bothum of Allendale, Mich., Kiamichi Saulter of Grove and Calvin Dale Wiess of Jay; three stepgrandchildren, Robbie, Joshua and Solomon Butler, all of Gravette, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Elaine “Bobbie” Sheppard; her parents; one brother, Paul Allen Gunter, and one sister, Mozelle Schomick.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Burial will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
