William Franklin Manning of Grove died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at Integris Grove General Hospital after an illness. He was 92.

Maning was born June 19, 1915, in Southwest City, Mo., to Bert Elmer and Clemmie (Hardy) Manning.

He was a farmer and stockman all of his life. He attended Cayuga Church and Carr Church, near Grove.

He married Eula Roberts on April 2, 1943, in Miami. She survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Nichols of Southwest City; one son, Robert Manning of Quapaw; one brother, Max Manning, four grandchildren, Kenton Nichols, Melanie Nichols, Kylie Manning and Trenton Manning, and one great-grandson, Knox Lee Nichols.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Willis Manning, and two sisters, Mary Buzzard and Jane Grass.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove with Ray Clanton officiating. Burial will be in Olympus Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenton Nichols, Trenton Manning, Jerry Manning, Doug Buzzard, Greg Spicer, Matt Gault and Sam Roberts.

Visitation is until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
