Jimmy Dewayne Starr of West Jordan, Utah, died Friday, April 11, 2008, at his home following a sudden illness. He was 51.

Mr. Starr was born Feb. 14, 1957, in Southwest City, Mo., to James T. Starr and Wilma J. Roberts. He graduated from Northeastern State University in May, 1979, with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Survivors include his mother; his grandmother, Mertie Johnson; two brothers, Billy Roberts Jr. and Johnny Roberts; two sisters, Tenna Shotpouch and Barbara Newsome; six nephews, five nieces, one great-nephew and six great-nieces.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God in Jay. The Rev. Bill Goldner and the Rev. James Bell will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Funeral Services of Grand Lake in Jay.

Memorials are suggested to the family in honor of Mr. Starr at Grand Savings Bank in Jay.
