John Thomas “J.T.” Blevins of Grove died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, in Tulsa. He was 61.
Blevins was born Feb. 4, 1945, in Sallisaw to Archie James “Jack” and Evelyn Lane Blevins. He graduated from high school in Catoosa.
He was a jeweler and owner of J.T.'s Jewelers in Grove. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Grove EMS board.
Survivors include his wife, Stacie R. Pair Blevins, of the home; three daughters, Janete Arleen Blevins of Owasso and Bailey Michelle Blevins and Addie Lee Blevins, both of the home; two brothers and their wives, James and Nelda Blevins of Broken Arrow and David and Debbie Blevins of Cleveland, and five sisters and their husbands, Winona Land of Commerce, Judy and Arval Catlett and Nancy Thompson, all of Broken Arrow, Brenda and Lynn Lehenbauer of Oklahoma City and Dr. Connie Land and David McElwain of Tulsa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ronnie and Cecil Blevins, and two sisters, Mary McDaris and Lena Darby.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Delaware Baptist Church, south of Grove, with his nephew, The Rev. Jim Land, officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Family Funeral Home in Grove.
