Thomas “Tuffy” Deloy Cantrell died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, in Grove following an extended illness. He was 73.
Mr. Cantrell was born March 24, 1935, in Grove to William Lee and Belva (Day) Cantrell. He was a lifetime resident of the Grove area.
He was a veteran of the Army.
He worked as a truck driver at Ralston Purina in Noel, Mo., for several years. He later worked at Wal-Mart for 12 years before retiring.
He married Jeannie Burger on April 13, 1967, in Jay. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include one daughter and her husband, Brenda and Ronnie Austin; one son and his wife, Leroy and Christi Cantrell, and eight grandchildren, Shelby Austin, Trinity Austin, Iesha Cantrell, Kayla Cantrell, Noah Cantrell, Sydney Cantrell, Saraya Flynn and Chris Flynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gene Bushay, and one brother, Elmo Cantrell.
Services were 2 p.m. Saturday at Lee Cemetery in Gravette, Ark. The Rev. Herbert Scott officiated.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Austin, Leroy Cantrell, Trinity Austin, Tommy Cantrell, Jason Pope and Chris Glenn.
Arrangements were under the direction of Funeral Services of Grand Lake in Jay.
