Opal Pianalto Hayward of Miami died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center. She was 87.
Ms. Hayward was born March 14, 1930, in Arizona to the Rev. Alford and Ruth (Henrichs) Whiteley. Her early life was spent in Alvin, Texas, an New Mexico. She moved from Alvin to rural Fayetteville, Ark., in 1945 and graduated from Peabody High School in 1947. She attended Apostolic Faith Bible School in Baxter Springs, Kan., in 1948 while her parents were employed there.
She married Fred Pianalto in 1952. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Pianalto of Tulsa, and three brothers, the Rev. Howard Whiteley and his wife of Baxter Springs, Major Joel Whitely and his wife of Panguitch, Utah, and Dr. Alfred Theodore of Sugar Land, Texas.
