Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Case died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami.
She was 94.
Case was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Newkirk to Thomas Jefferson and Ellen Maria (Moon) Hodges. She attended schools in Newkirk and graduated from Newkirk High School. She attended business college.
She worked for many years as a secretary for the Chamber of Commerce in Newkirk.
She also worked as a tag agent.
She married Alvin Lynn Case on April 28, 1946, in Newkirk. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Maurice Hodges; one sister, Irene Carpenter, and one nephew, Thomas Hodges.
Survivors include four nieces and their husbands, Marie McCrary of Dewey, Ann White of Kirkwood, Mo., Beth and John Thornton of Stillwater and Velma and Carl Sievertsen of Lynnwood, Wash., nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Miami with Dr. Helen M. Hutchison officiating and Gene Cantrell assisting. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Newkirk Cemetery with the Rev. Elizabeth King officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami.
