George Oliver Hiatt lost his battle with cancer, but received his crown in heaven on Feb. 20, 2007.
He was born May 1, 1952 in Enid to Gerald T. and Marjorie M. Hiatt. He graduated from Enid High School in 1970.
He married Dorothy Ellis in Midwest City in 1974. They had three children, Brian Hiatt of Miami, Krista Hiatt of Miami and Kelly Hiatt of Miami.
He married Beverly “Cookie” Felix in Las Vegas, Nev., in 1990. They had one son, Michael Hiatt of the home, three stepchildren, Susan Hall of Orlando, Fla., Amanda Felix of Agoura, Calif., and Brian E. Felix of Agoura.
He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Leh and her husband Darrel of Rexford, Kan.; one sister, Yvonne Thompson and husband Patrick of Harrison, Ark.; two brothers, Richard McNatt of Santa Fe, N.M., and Randy Ray McNatt of Memphis, Tenn., and one sister-in-law, Cheryl Dianne Hiatt of Chickasha.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald T. Hiatt; his brother, Gerald L. Hiatt; his wife, Cookie, and his grandparents George and Ida Viers and Deloss and Letha Hiatt.
He was a member of Wann Baptist Church. His dedication and love for coaching youth activities brought him closer to the community in which he was truly loved.
Funeral services for Mr. Hiatt will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Wann Community Center, with Pastor Wayne Kelly of New Heart Church of Harrison officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
