Diane Lynn Stowell

Daughter. Wife. Mom. Grandma. Friend.

Diane Lynn Stowell, of Miami, passed away in the comfort of her home while surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, July 26, 2019. She was 72.

Diane was born January 17, 1947 in Miami, Oklahoma, to Darrell E. Craig and Meryl P. (French) Craig. She attended school in Miami and married the love of her life Ronnie “Ron” Stowell of Miami, on May 28, 1966. Together, they lived in Redding, California and Colorado Springs, Colorado before returning to their forever home, Miami, in 1978.

Diane was a devoted member of the First Christian Church, Miami. She was gentle and kind to all and always had a knack for attention to detail, in which she put to use by creating beautiful stained glass art pieces.

She held many jobs over the years, including being the Secretary to the Court Clerk as well as the Administrative Assistant at the Baptist Regional Health Center, until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping (mostly on QVC) and most of all spending time loving on those most dear to her heart.

She is survived by her husband Ron Stowell, of the home; brother Brent Craig, of Miami; sons Scott Stowell and wife, Carrie, of Edmond; Bryan Stowell, of Tulsa; and daughter, Gina Rentfrow and husband, Jeramie, of Miami. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ellesee Idle and husband, Chris, of Minco, Britton Stowell of Los Angeles, California, Karly and Macy Rentfrow, of Miami and Veronica and Vivianne Stowell, of Edmond. Great grandchildren are Remington and Rowan Idle.

She was preceded in passing by her father, mother and sister, Connie Wallace.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 29, 2019, 2:00 PM at the First Christian Church, Miami, Oklahoma. Minister Leon Weece will officiate.

Visitation will be from 3:00 – 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 26 at the First Christian Church, Miami, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Ron Stowell, Scott Stowell, Bryan Stowell, Jeramie Rentfrow and Britton Stowell.
