District Attorney Eddie Wyant recently certified as a trainer for trial prosecutors. He will travel to Oklahoma City next week where he will take part in a seminar that teaches Oklahoma prosecutors how to try a case.
“There are about a dozen district attorneys right now in Oklahoma that have been trained on how to teach other district attorneys to present a case,” Wyant said.
Wyant said the trainers will divide themselves among approximately 40 prosecutors who will be participating in the training session. They will teach the attorneys how to present a case and critique other attorneys.
“Essentially, we will be teaching them, through our experience, the most effective way to try a case,” Wyant said.
Wyant said the goal of the District Attorneys Association is to have every district attorney in the state go through the training course.
