Ottawa County Sheriff Terry Durborow said an early morning home invasion at a rural Fairland residence has left one man dead.
Sheriff Durborow said his office received a 911 call from the rural Fairland residence at 4:38 a.m. The caller stated two males had entered their residence and ended up shooting the male resident inside the house.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was contacted to assist in the investigation and has sent several agents to Ottawa County.
The scene is still being processed at this time and it is unknown if anything was taken from the residence.
This incident is not believed to be related to the previous home invasion that was experienced in Ottawa County last week.
