A Craig County sheriff's deputy is on paid administrative leave after being charged with destroying property.
Justin Dean Sumner, 29, of Ketchum was charged March 5 in Jay with two felony counts of maliciously defacing the property of another.
He is accused of shooting out the lights on the Arrowhead Yacht Club sign and shooting and damaging a power transformer belonging to Rural Electric Cooperative on Jan. 27.
Total damages were about $3,530, according to an arrest affidavit.
According to the affidavit, a security guard told police Sumner was seen shooting out two lights.
Sumner was arrested March 6 and released on $6,000 bail.
