The World Famous Platters from the Starlight Theatre in Branson, Mo., will perform Friday, March 27 at The Coleman Theatre.

Known as the most romantic vocal group of the 1950s and ’60s, the Platters had their first hit in 1955 with “Only You.”

Immediately following was their No. 1 song “The Great Pretender.” “The Magic Touch” reached the Top 5 in 1956, and soon after came another No. 1 hit, “My Prayer,” which stayed at the top of the charts for five weeks.  Relive the romance with other favorites such as “Red Sails in the Sunset,” “I’m Sorry,” “Twilight Time,” “Kansas City,” and many more.

Enjoy great group performances by Andra Sheppard, Yolanda Fletcher, Eddie Stovall, Willie Nash, and Lawrence “Rooster” Lockard.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Ticket prices are $23 for premium seating, $20 for adults, and $18 for seniors and children.  To purchase tickets, or for more information about the Platters performance call the Coleman Theatre at 918-540-2425, visit the website at colemantheatre.org, or stop by the box office window at 103 North Main in Miami.  Mastercard, Visa, and Discover are accepted.
