The Oklahoma Lions Club Mobile Health Screening Unit will be in Fairland on Friday to provide free screenings.

Local Lions Club members will conduct screenings within several areas of concern. Screens will include glaucoma, diabetes, hearing, visual acuity and blood pressure.

Bone density screening is available for women over the age of 40.

Lions will provide screenings only, not diagnoses. If an irregularity is discovered, a referral will be made.

Friday's screening is a community service project of the Fairland Lions Club and is sponsored in part by BlueCross BlueShield of Oklahoma.

The mobile screening unit will be parked from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the Family Dollar Store at 501 W. Conner in Fairland.

No appointment is needed.
