MIAMI — Organizers with Rodeo Miami are seeking contestants for the Miss Rodeo Miami competition.
Because of COVID-19, the rodeo was rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 28 and Saturday, Aug. 29.
The three categories offered are Miss Rodeo Miami, Miss Rodeo Miami Teen and Little Miss Rodeo Miami.
The deadline to register is Friday, July 3. Entry forms and all required paperwork must be submitted to the Pageant Coordinator at that time.
The competition will be judged on personal interview skills, appearance, horsemanship, sponsorships and ticket sales.
The winners will be announced on Friday, August 28 during the first night of the rodeo, which has been a 10-time Rodeo of the Year winner in the American Rodeo Cowboys Association.
All contestants must ride in the grand entry on both nights.
Those interested in competing can pick-up a packet at the Miami CVB office (111 North Main Street) or send an email request to email@example.com.
There will be an informational meeting held on Thursday, June 18 at 7 p.m. via Zoom to answer questions about rules, contest eligibility and requirements.
Rodeo Miami is produced in cooperation with Visit Miami OK and the NEO A&M Agriculture Department.
