Christopher Logan Bowen, 45, a longtime Miami area resident passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was born on August 18, 1973 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Charles Luther Bowen Jr. and Alberta Charlene Fry-Hilliard. Chris enjoyed the outdoors, hunting whether it is deer or pheasant or ducks, fishing and frog gigging. He absolutely loved Jesus and loved telling people about him. He and his wife owned Spruce Up in Fairland.
Mr. Bowen was preceded in passing by his uncle Glen Bowen.
Chris leaves to carry on his memory his wife Brandy (McDowell) Bowen of the home his children Anna Bowen, Emma Bowen and CJ Bowen all of the home. His parents Charles Bowen and Alberta Charlene Fry-Hilliard. Chris’ brother Charles David Bowen, his sister Suzanne Hutton and Brother Todd Grossman also survive.
Visitation for Chris will be 6 until 8 p.m. at Northwest Baptist Church in Miami on Thursday, May 16, 2019.
Services for Chris are 10 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Northwest Baptist Church in Miami with Pastor James Cox officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Casketbearers will be Kolton Lucas, Billy Bruner, Joey Grieshaber, Steven Poe, Kevin Grundy, James Cox, Tyson Murphy, Chad Murphy, Brad Douthit and Nathan McCollum.
The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Life Outreach International.
